📦 FAQ: Product Images, Condition & Grading
Do you use stock images?
Yes — some of our product listings use stock images. These are official or representative images that accurately show the release artwork, but may not depict the exact copy you will receive.
Why do you use stock images?
We carry a large and constantly changing inventory of vinyl records and merchandise. Stock images allow us to list items quickly and consistently while ensuring you can identify the correct edition or pressing of each release.
Will the actual item look different?
For new items, it will look identical to the image shown.
For used vinyl, there may be minor variations such as sleeve wear, stickers, or inner sleeve differences. The item description always details the specific condition of each record.
How do you grade vinyl condition?
We grade every used record using the Goldmine Standard, the industry-recognized system for vinyl condition.
Our typical grading scale:
-
M (Mint) – Perfect, unopened, or unplayed.
-
NM (Near Mint) – Virtually flawless, minimal signs of handling.
-
VG+ (Very Good Plus) – Light wear, plays clean with minimal noise.
-
VG (Very Good) – Noticeable surface noise or sleeve wear, but still enjoyable.
-
G+ / G (Good Plus / Good) – More pronounced wear, priced accordingly.
All records are visually graded and, when necessary, play-tested to confirm quality.
Are all images owned by Soul Love Records?
Not always. Some images are provided by record labels, distributors, or licensed stock photo sources. We only use images that are accurate representations of the product we sell.
Do stock images affect authenticity?
Not at all. Every record and merch item we sell is authentic and verified. Stock images are purely for display consistency — the physical item will match the description and grading provided.
Can I request actual photos?
Absolutely. If you’d like to see the exact copy of a used record before buying, just get in touch and we’ll provide real photos of the item.
